[No] perspective

The events unfolding around us – especially political decisions – distort reality and our perception of it.
Thus, the only means left to depict the world truthfully is the visual language of surrealism. It feels as if
everything shaping the future becomes increasingly unpredictable and incomprehensible. The day after
tomorrow is no longer a predetermined path, but an elusive image where everything is at once possible
and impossible; where all that promises progress also evokes anxiety; and where everything that once
seemed certain now turns uncertain. In my images, this distortion takes shape – stability and familiarity
give way to fluidity and unpredictability.
